In 1990, I fractured my ankle and wore a cast for five weeks not allowing me to work. During my healing period I gravitated outside, perched myself at the end of my pickup and painted scenes all around San Diego. I was in heaven. This was a major turning point for me in my career. The next several years I planned and prepared, and in 1997 left my steady job to pursue life as a full-time professional artist.

Using the scene's natural colors and thoughtful composition, my intention is to evoke the peaceful qualities that attract so many people to this coastal region.

On most days you will find me outdoors painting one of my favorite San Diego landscapes…enjoying our little slice of heaven. Today, eleven years later — and by the grace of God — my artistic career continues
